PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose the applications of the petitioner for arbitration dated 30.9.2009 and 13.3.2013 to enhance the compensation awarded to the petitioner herein vide proceedings of the second respondent herein dated 31.8.2009 in his proceedings Spl.DRO.286/2009 (NH-68) for acquisition of land of the petitioner herein situate in Survey Nos.331/1C2B and 331/18 at Chinna Salem Village, Villupuram District within an appropriate time.

ORDER
Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner, whose lands were acquired for widening a national highway, has come to this Court seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider her representation dated 13.3.2013 wherein she has claimed enhanced compensation on the ground that the compensation of Rs.3,05,482/- is meagre and inadequate.

3. The petitioner would state that though the award proceedings dated 31.8.2009 were given to her, she was not given the copy of the entire award pertaining to the lands, which were acquired. The petitioner has also referred to an order passed by the Honourable First Bench of this Court in W.P.No. 32197 of 2012 dated 4.12.2012 (to which, I am party).
4. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the contentions raised, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.3.2013 on merits and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
