ORDER
This writ petition has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2025.
2. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
3. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioners are the Dharmakartha & Administrator of the Arulmigu Selliamman Koil. Initially, one Muthunaicker had executed a Gift Deed dated 08.04.1974 to settle the subject property in favour of the aforesaid temple. After demise of said Muthunaicker, the petitioners 2/6
came to know that a joint patta was wrongly issued by the Revenue Authorities in the name of 5 strangers, who are the legal heirs of one Kaliyan. Therefore, a representation dated 08.07.2020 was filed before the 3rd respondent for issuance of patta in the name of the above temple. Based on the said representation, enquiry was conducted by the Revenue Inspector and thereafter, no further steps were taken by the respondent till date. Thus, another representation dated 31.05.2025 has been filed by the petitioner for the very same request. However, the same was also not considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition has been filed.
5. In reply, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents requests this Court to grant 4 weeks time to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation.
6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent and also perused the materials available on record.

7. In the case on hand, initially, the subject land was settled in favour of Arulmigu Selliamman Koil by one Muthunaicker. After the demise of said Muthunaicker, the petitioners, who are the Dharmakartha & Administrator of the said Temple, came to know that a joint patta was wrongly issued by the Revenue Authorities in the name of 5 strangers, who are the legal heirs of one Kaliyan. Therefore, a representation dated 08.07.2020 was filed before the 3rd respondent for issuance of patta in the name of the above temple. Based on the said representation, enquiry was conducted by the Revenue Inspector and thereafter, no further steps were taken by the respondent. Thus, another representation dated 31.05.2025 has been filed by the petitioner for the very same request. However, the same was also not considered by the respondent till date.
8. In view of the above, this Court directs the 3rd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 31.05.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4/6
9. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
