The petitioner has filed the present writ petition seeking a mandamus to direct 2nd and 3rd respondents to survey the petitioner's land comprised in Survey No.159/1 to an extent of 2 acres and 57 cents situated in Kolakkaravadi Village, Polur Taluk, Chetpet Sub Registrar's Office, Tiruvannamalai Register Office, Tiruvannamalai District based on the petitioner's application vide Challan No.20230308009780 dated 08.03.2023.

2. The learned counsel for the writ petitioner submits that though the writ petitioner has filed on-line application dated 08.03.2023 before the respondents for measuring the aforementioned property, so far the respondents have not taken any effective steps to measure the property. Hence, the present writ petition has been presented in this Court on 26.09.2023.

3. The learned counsel for respondents fairly submits that though the Pg.Nos.2/4

respondents received the petitioner's application dated 08.08.2023 through online, so far the petitioner's property has not been measured.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Advocate for the respondents and perused the case file.

5. Considering the submissions made on both sides, this Court is inclined to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to measure the aforementioned property by adopting procedure in the manner known to law after giving an opportunity to all parties concerned and in the presence of land owners as expeditiously as possible but in any event within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. The Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
