ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 13.02.2025, wherein the petitioner is seeking issuance of a birth certificate on the ground that the original birth certificate has been lost.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the birth certificate was issued in his name in the year 1984. In 2024, the petitioner lost the original birth certificate

along with other original documents. A complaint was given to the police, however, the documents were not able to be traced.

3. In view of the above, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents seeking issuance of a fresh birth certificate. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 13.02.2025 and do the needful within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
