Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner, her famly members and their property and take necessary action against the respondents 4 to 8 and to prevent further criminal trespassing and destruction of the petitioner's property.

ORDER

The petitioner seeks police protection on the ground that the villagers are objecting her possession and causing disturbance.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl Side) would submit that there are dispute between the petitioner and the villagers during the construction work in the petitioner's property and the petitioner and her son had moved to Chennai out of fear for her safety. Hence, seeks for police protection.

3. Heard the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) and perused the materials placed on record.

4. Before passing an order for police protection, this Court must see if there is a threat perception to the life of the petitioner and it must be based on some reliable material. The entire allegations appears to be general in

nature and is due to some personal animosity between the parties and this Court is of the view that there is no real threat to the petitioner. Such view of the matter, this Court does not find any merits.
