Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to implement the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in proceedings Na.Ka.Aa/11/2018 dated 28.02.2018 and refix the salary of the petitioner on par with her junior. O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is to direct the 1st respondent to implement the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in proceedings Na.Ka.Aa/11/2018 dated 28.02.2018 and refix the salary of the petitioner on par with her junior.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she joined the service as a teacher in the year 1987. In the year 2000, the petitioner was promoted to the post of BT Assistant in Vethiyar Vettu Middle School. Thereafter, the petitioner was posted as a Warden at Government Adi Dravida Girls Welfare Hostel at Ariyalur and she was given Selection Grade. However, one Alponsa junior to the petitioner, working as a Selection Grade Headmistress is getting more salary than the petitioner for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

which the petitioner made representation to the 2nd respondent. Thereafter, the 2nd respondent forwarded the proceedings dated 28.02.2018 to the 1st respondent for increasing salary of the petitioner on par with her junior. However, till date the said proposal was not complied with. Therefore, the Writ Petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to issue direction to the 1st respondent, namely, the District Adi Dravidar and Schedule Tribes Welfare Officer, Ariyalur to consider the proposal dated 28.02.2018 in accordance with law.

4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the District Adi Dravidar and Schedule Tribes Welfare Officer, Ariyalur to consider the proposal dated 28.02.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
