The Writ Petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner based on the representation dated 18.02.2019.

2. Heard Mr.K.Vijayaragavan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Inbanathan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for respondents 1 to 4. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The petitioner seeks patta for the government land based on his sale deed in respect of the property situated adjacent to the Government land.

4.Assigning patta for the government land is not a matter of right. If there is any representation given by the petitioner, it is for the Revenue authority to consider it, if it deserves any merit. The Court cannot compel the authority to consider the representation of the petitioner when there is no right vested upon the petitioner and no statutory duty caused upon the authority to grant patta.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
