PRAYER in WP No. 34064 of 2025:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for an issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to determine the compensation amount in accordance with the present market value for the petitioner acquired land measuring to an extent of 203 sq.meter or 2185.07 sq.ft and situated at No.61, Korattur Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chengalpet District comprised in Punjai Old Survey No.770/1D2 situated within the Sub Registration District of Ambattur and Registration District of North Chennai and pay the compensation amount to the petitioner within the time frame.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking to direct the respondents to determine the compensation amount in accordance with market value for the land acquired from the petitioner to an extent of 1164 sq.ft situated at No.61, Korattur Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chengalpet District comprised in Punjai Old Survey No.770/1D3 situated within the Sub-Registration District of Ambattur and Registration District of North Chennai, for the formation of Madras Bypass Roacd connecting NH45 4 & 5 in the year around 1990. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

3.Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4 th respondent would submit that the subject land situated at No.61, Korattur Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chengalpet District comprised in Punjai Old Survey No.770/1D3 was not

acquired by the National Highways Authority of India and in this regard she has filed a counter affidavit.
