Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issue of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.7.2025 and re-count the petitioners past service period from 3.6.1994 to 31.1.2008 worked in Adivasi High School run by Sri Sarguru Sarva Samarasa Sangam (Government aided school) at Coonoor- Udhagamandalam with eligible pay.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition is filed for the following relief: "to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.7.2025 and re-count the petitioners past service period from 3.6.1994 to 31.1.2008 worked in Adivasi High School run by Sri Sarguru Sarva Samarasa Sangam (Government aided school) at Coonoor- Udhagamandalam with eligible pay". 2/6

The petitioner was originally appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher at Sri Sarguru Sarva Samarasa Sangam (Adivasi School) School of the 4th respondent at Coonoor which is aided by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The petitioner joined the said School on 03.06.1994 and got relieved from the School on 31.01.2008 since she was selected as BT Assistant and posted to Government High School at Koduvai on 01.02.2008.

3. The petitioner was given Induction Training for 3 days by the Director of Teacher' Training from 03.02.2008 to 05.02.2008 by the Government. The petitioner's basic pay was wrongly fixed at Rs.5,500/- instead of Rs.7000/- without considering the previous services leading to pay anomaly. The petitioner reported for duty at Government School Koduvai on 12.02.2008 as she was sick for 9 days and since then she is continuously working in the Schools wherever she was posted. The petitioner also completed 17 years of unblemished services with dedication and worked in various Government Schools. 3/6

Therefore, to recount her past service period from 03.06.1994 to 31.01.2008 the petitioner sent a representation to the 2nd respondent on 14.07.2025. The said representation has not been considered to date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsels and perused the records.

Considering the fact that the petitioner's basic pay was wrongly fixed at Rs.5500/- instead of Rs.7000/- without considering the previous services and also the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2025 has not been considered to date, the Writ Petition is allowed. The 2nd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 14.7.2025 within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
