Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 to forthwith pay the amount of Rs.1,76,890/- and Rs.88,160/- aggregating to Rs.2,65,050/- to the petitioner for the work carried out by the petitioner and approved by the 3rd respondent by his order dated 15.09.2015 and 30.09.2015 by considering and passing orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 02.10.2015.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner ; Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 & 2 ; and Mr.S.Diwakar, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing on behalf of the

respondents 3 and 4 and with their consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner has come forward with the above writ petition seeking for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents 3 and 4 to pay an amount of Rs.2,65,050/- to the petitioner for the work done by him and approved by the 3rd respondent vide his orders dated 15.09.2015 and 30.09.2015 by considering his representation dated 02.10.2015. Learned counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent submitted that six weeks time may be granted to the 3rd respondent to take note of the facts and release the payments for which the petitioner is entitled to.

The said submission made on behalf of the 3rd respondent is placed on record and the 3rd respondent is directed to settle the lawful claims, which the petitioner is entitled to, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If such lawful and eligible claims are not settled by then, it is open to the petitioner to claim for interest on the said amount.

The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
