The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.14 of 2025.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

It is submitted that a case in Crime No.14 of 2025 was registered by the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(A), 25, 29(1) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 and Section 123 of BNS, against the petitioner/A4 and four other accused persons, from whom the contraband was seized. The investigation in this case is still in progress.

The contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that the petitioner is pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Animation at Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Nava India, Coimbatore and that he is in no way connected with the alleged offence. It is further submitted that the petitioner was granted bail by the Essential Commodities Court, Coimbatore, on 14.02.2025, subject to certain conditions, which he has duly complied with. He further submitted that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and therefore, he prayed for quashing of the First Information Report in Crime No.14 of 2025.
5. Considering the nature of the allegations, this Court is of the view that at this stage, the veracity of the First Information Report cannot be gone into and it is for the Investigating Officer to conduct the investigation in 2/4
accordance with law. This Court does not find any material to quash the FIR.
