No.282/A/2008 (S1) dated 29.10.2008 with all attendant and monetary benefits within a stipulated time may be fixed by this Court.
For Petitioners : Mr.M.Saravanakumar For respondents in all cases : Mr.R.Vijayakumar, Additional Government Pleader COMMON ORDER The writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to the respondents to promote the petitioners to the post of Lab Technician Grade II in the second respondent office based on their seniority and in accordance with G.O. (Ms.) No.855 Personnel and Administrative Department dated 24.08.1984 as per recommendation made by the second respondent in R.C. No.282/A/2008 (S1) dated 29.10.2008 with all attendant and monetary benefits.
2.The case of the petitioners is that they were appointed as Laboratory Peon in the office of the Chief Wather Analyst, King Institute Campus, Guindy/the second respondent herein. The respondents regularized their services with effect from their date of appointment and probation has also been declared. Thereafter, the authorities granted selection grade on completion of ten years in the same cadre. However, the second respondent in his proceedings in R.C. No.282/A/2008 (S1) dated 29.10.2008, recommended the case of the petitioners and submitted a proposal to the first respondent to fill up the five vacant posts of Lab Technician Grade-II. Subsequently, the first respondent in his proceedings R.No.134334/E2/S2/10-1 dated 05.08.2011, issued an order in favour of one N.Thirunavukarasu alone. Therefore, the petitioners made representations dated 17.06.2013 and 20.07.2015. But till date they have not been considered. Therefore, they are before this Court. 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.
4.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents sought eight weeks time to consider the petitioners' representations dated 17.06.2013 and 20.07.2015. 5.In the light of the proposal dated 30.03.2015, forwarded by the second respondent, the petitioners are directed to furnish a copy of their representations dated 17.06.2013 and 20.07.2015 along with this copy of the order to the first respondent, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the first respondent shall consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks thereafter. 6.Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.Ps are closed.
