Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.10.2015 and take necessary steps to regulate the method of advertisement by giving permission after collecting appropriate tax to display the hoardings and other advertisement activities as per Section 152 of the Puducherry Municipality Act. Mr.M.Govindaraj, learned Government Pleader for Puducherry, states that the process of consideration of this aspect, which in turn will require amendment to the Rules, is in progress and it is expected to be worked out within a period of four (4) months.
