Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second and fourth respondents to pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 01.02.2016 and 12.02.2016 by directing continuation of the petitioner in service until the end of academic year viz. 31.05.2016 with all consequential benefits including arrears of pay and allowances together with payment of interest at 18% per annum for any delayed payment of pay and allowances, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The petitioner, Geetha Lincoln, who reached the age of superannuation on 31.01.2016, has given representations dated 01.02.2016 and 12.02.2016, prior to her date of superannuation, to re-employ her in the post of Physical Education Teacher in the fourth respondent school until completion of the academic year in view of G.O. No.249 dated 09.02.1959. 2.The case of the petitioner is that in spite of pendency of representations, she visited the school on various dates. But she was not permitted to sign in the attendance register and the respondents have not settled her retiral benefits including gratuity, leave encashment, etc. Therefore, she has come to this Court.
3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3.
4.In the light of the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.02.2016 and 12.02.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the fourth respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
