PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to call for the records pertaining to the FIR in Crime No.18 of 2017 dated 17.07.2017 on the file of the first respondent Police and quash the same.

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to call for the records pertaining to the FIR in Crime No.18 of 2017 dated 1/3
17.07.2017 on the file of the first respondent Police and quash the same.
2. Pending the Divorce Petition in O.P.No.1511 of 2018, the first petitioner and the second respondent herein, has amicably dissolved the matrimonial dispute among themselves and has filed the petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act on 10.04.2018 before the VI- Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai. In the petition filed under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, the second respondent herein, along with the first petitioner had made a statement that the second petitioner will file a consent affidavit before this Court in Crl.OP.No.15990 of 2017 for the purpose of quashing the F.I.R, which is impugned in the present case. Based on this petition filed under Section 13-B, a decree of divorce came to be granted by the learned VI Additional Family Court, Chennai on 27.04.2018.
3. In view of the amicable settlement arise between the parties based on which the divorce decree also came to be passed, it would not be appropriate to have this criminal complaint pending. Accordingly and in terms of the settlement arrived between the parties, the F.I.R in Crime No.18 of 2017 on the file of the first respondent - Police, stands quashed.
