O R D E R

With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking for issuance of mandamus to consider the petitioner representation dated 18.02.2016 within stipulated period by the respondents and consequently direct the second respondent to allot the house to the petitioner at No.530, I Block, 3rd Floor, G.M.Pettai, Kasimedu, Chennai13. 3.The petitioner and her family members were residing in Indira Nagar Pallam, GM.Pettai, Kasimedu Chennai for more than 30years. During 2007, the hut of the petitioner along with other 540 huts were damaged in fire accident. The petitioner submits that temporary house was allotted to her by the second respondent herein at No.530, I Block, Tamil Nadu Slum Board, G.M.Pettai, Royapuram, Chennai-13 and the petitioner was residing there for more than six years.

4.The petitioner approached the second respondent in person on several occasions and finally she made a representation dated 18.02.2016 for allotment of permanent house. But the respondents has not taken any action till date and hence, she filed the present writ petition.

5.Heard the submissions of learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
