ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register the complaint of the petitioner dated 03.11.2022 and investigate the same in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been assaulted by one Manikandan and two identifiable persons on 29.10.2022; in this regard, he said to have given a complaint to the second respondent police and so far, no fruitful action has been taken.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that on the complaint given by the petitioner, CSR Number has been assigned in CSR No.642 of 2022 and the enquiry has been initiated.

5. It is to be noted that the complainant has also produced the Accident Register Extract that he was admitted in the Hospital on the next day of the alleged occurrence. If the second respondent police is satisfied with the materials available with him, he is expected to take appropriate action in accordance with law. Since the enquiry is pending, I feel it is appropriate to direct the second respondent to complete the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and

do the needful in accordance with law.

6. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
