Prayer :- Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, to direct the VI Additional Family Court to expedite and dispose of the petition at the earliest possible by fixing time frame in HMOP No.2396 of 2020 on the file of VI Additional Family Court, Chennai as earliest.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 1/4

2. The petitioner is the wife, who is the respondent in HMOP.No.2396 of 2020 pending on the file of the VI Additional Family Court, Chennai. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the suit in HMOP.No.2396 of 2020 along with the Interim Maintenance Application taken out by the petitioner which is pending in I.A.No.3 of 2022.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought for, notice to the respondent is dispensed with. I am able to see that HMOP.No.2396 of 2020 is pending for a period of five years and Interim Maintenance application is pending for a period of three years.

4. In the light of the above, I am inclined to allow the revision and direct the VI Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of I.A.No.3 of 2022, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and also take effective steps to dispose of the O.P., on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six months thereafter. 2/4
