The writ petition is filed by M.Rajendran, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider his representation dated 02.01.2016.

2. Heard Mr.S.T.P.Kuilmozhi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents and with their consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

The petitioner, who was appointed as Assistant Public Relation Officer (Advertisement Division) in the office of the respondent on 13.6.1990, has given a representation on 02.01.2016 requesting to promote him as Deputy Director with retrospective effect by following the seniority list properly with reference to the date of vacancy arose in the said category with all consequential and other attendant benefits including https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pension benefits. However, till date the same has not been considered by the respondents.

This Court, without going into the merits of the writ petition, considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and pass orders on the pending representation dated 02.01.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
