ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to renew the GST registration of the petitioner based on the representation dated 07.08.2023.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he had furnished all the documents as required by the Department for the purpose of renewal of GST registration and made a representation for the same on 07.08.2023 before the respondent. However, so far, no action has been taken by the respondent to renew the GST registration of the petitioner.

3. Ms.Hema Muralikrishnan, learned Senior Standing counsel, who takes notice on behalf of the respondent, would fairly submit that the present writ petition has been filed only for a direction to the respondent to renew the GST registration of the petitioner based on his representation dated 07.08.2023 and hence, this petition may be disposed 2/4

of by granting liberty to the respondent to consider the said representation.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the respondent and also perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to direct the respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 07.08.2023 and dispose of the same on merits within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
