O R D E R
This Writ Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to modify the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.21394 of 2015, W.P.No.9806 of 2019, W.P.No.8494 of 2024 and WMP.No.10407 of 2019 dated 08.11.2024 and to extend the time mentioned in Clause (iii)) of the order from 1st June 2025 to 1st October 2025.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The learned Senior counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court by its order dated 08.11.2024, had disposed the Writ Petitions by issuing several directions. He continued that it is the grievance of the petitioner in respect of direction No.5, in which, the petitioner along with Cancer Institute (W.I.A.), Adyar, is permitted to renovate the premises of Dr.Muthulakshmi Reddy, which is situated at No.24/41, Besant Avenue Road, Adyar, which belongs to the temple and which already been handed over earlier to the respondents and 2/5
maintain the same from out of the funds provided by the Cancer Institute (W.I.A.)., however, contrary to the said direction, the respondents are interfering with the functions of the petitioner and hence, the present petition.
4. The learned Advocate General fairly submits that the order of this Court dated 08.11.2024 will be implemented in letter and spirit and there is no need for any modification.
5. Having considered the submissions made by the respective learned counsels, this Court directs the respondents to permit the petitioner to renovate and maintain the premises of Dr.Muthulakshmi Reddy Memorial and also directs the respondents to implement the order of this Court dated 08.11.2024 in respect of Direction No.7 issued therein, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. This Writ Miscellaneous Petition stands ordered on the above terms. 17.11.2025 DP 3/5
