O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to issue UDR patta for 2.27 acres including the left out 0.42 cents, by considering his representation dated 28.05.2024.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that 2.27 acres of land in survey Nos. 498/3 and 493/17 in Manivizhundan village, Thalaivasal Taluk, Salem District belongs to the petitioner and the same is ancestral property. During UDR patta 42 cents of land in survey No.493/17 was erroneously classified as "Tharisu". Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before the first respondent dated 28.05.2024 seeking correction of entry in the UDR records 2/5

and to issue UDR patta infavour of the petitioner for the entire extent of 2.27 acres and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the first respondent to forward the representation of the petitioner dated 28.05.2024 to the District Revenue Officer, Salem, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The District Revenue Officer shall consider the same and pass final orders, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the representation. The Registry is directed to mark a copy of this order to the District Revenue Officer, Salem.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
