ORDER

The petitioner had applied for grant of mini bus permit for the road Anthiyur Bus Stand to Athani in Erode District on 22.12.2006. Since the application had not been considered, the petitioner is before this Court.

2.The respondent has filed a counter affidavit stating that a new scheme has been come into force and applications would be called for. However, the new scheme was introduced in 2011 and it is not known as to why for the last more than five years nothing has happened. In any event, the petitioner is entitled to know the fate of his application. Though in this writ petition only the Regional Transport Officer has been made as a party, the learned counsel for the petitioner, on instruction, submits that an application has been enclosed along with the representation which will be forwarded to the Regional Transport Authority. But, however that is not quite evident from the documents annexed in the typed set.

3.Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate application before https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the concerned Regional Transport Authority along with the copy of this order and if the same is filed, the authority shall consider the application and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the application. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
