ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to release the Heavy Goods Vehicle 107 bearing Registration No.TN 20 AM 9714, which was seized by the Inspector of Police, Padalam on 18.2.2016 and thereby consider his representation dated 19.2.2016.

2. Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents and submitted that the petitioner has not produced any acknowledgement for the receipt of the representation dated 19.2.2016. Further, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that in the event of petitioner submitting a fresh representation to the respondents the same can be considered by the second respondent. within a stipulated time.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, I direct the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of three days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks thereafter.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
