ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondent herein to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner's husband and his family members based on the petitioner's complaint dated 01.11.2022.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had married one Vetrivel out of her own volition; this was disliked by her father, the third respondent; because of that, the third respondent is causing threat to the life of the petitioner and her husband; hence she had given a representation on 01.11.2022 to the respondent police seeking life protection; so far, no action has been taken on the said representation.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the representation given by the petitioner has been received by the respondent
police and after conducting enquiry, action will be taken in accordance with law.
5. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) and also the gravity of the situation, I feel it is appropriate to direct the second respondent police to complete the enquiry on the representation given by the petitioner and do the needful in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed.
