ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to grant employment on compassionate ground to the petitioner as Village Assistant as a son of Annamalai, on the petition dated 20.05.2005.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner's father one Annamalai, while he was in service as a Village Assistant, died on 02.02.2003, leaving behind his wife, sons and daughters as legal heirs. The legal heirship certificate was granted on 28.05.2010. Immediately after his demise, the petitioner's mother applied for appointment on compassionate ground. She also approached this Court in W.P.No.3791 of 2014 and the same was dismissed, on the ground that no application was submitted by his mother.
4. Now, the petitioner submitted an application seeking appointment on compassionate ground, in the month of September, 2023. After a period of 20 years, the request made by the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground cannot be considered and this writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed.
5. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
