The complaint dated 26.09.2023 was given to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Avadi Commissionerate, alleging that the Inspector of Police attached to Thirumullaivoyal Police Station is harassing her.

2. According to the petitioner, based on the complaint given by one Thiyagarajan, who is forcing her to sign in the document prepared by him. There is a money dispute between her and Thiyagarajan, and he wants to grab her property for that purpose. There is no material placed by the petitioner herein to verify whether any complaint was given by Thiyagarajan and if her allegation is true or not. However, the Senior Police Officer who received the complaint about some misconduct of the subordinate is responsible for verifying the credentials of the complaint and acting upon it.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Avadi Range, to whom the representation 2/5

is addressed, will look into the matter and act in accordance with law.

4. Accordingly, the criminal original petition is disposed of, and if any material is available to substantiate the representation, the first respondent is directed to take appropriate action against the concerned police official, if the complaint of Thiyagarajan is prima facie validated. There is no impediment for the police to proceed against the petitioner herein in accordance with law.
