Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to inspect and ascertain the structural strength of the marriage Hall, viz.,
Karpagambal Kalyana Mandapam, situated at No.49/23, Kapaleeswar Koil South Mada Street, Mylapore, Chennai-600 004 under the occupation of the 3rd respondent and also verify whether the sanitary and hygienic atmosphere to celebrate functions and also the marriage hall have all the statuary licenses and permissions and submit a status report to the 1st respondent consequently directing the 1st respondent to consider the report of the 2nd respondent and dispose of the compliant of the petitioner dated 04.04.2024 in accordance with law. ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the 2nd respondent herein to inspect and ascertain the structural strength of the marriage Hall, viz., Karpagambal Kalyana Mandapam, situated at No.49/23, Kapaleeswar Koil South Mada Street, Mylapore, Chennai-600 004 under the occupation of the 3rd respondent and also verify whether the sanitary and hygienic atmosphere to celebrate functions and also the marriage hall have all the statuary licenses and permissions and submit a status report to the 1st respondent consequently directing the 1st respondent to consider the report of the 2nd respondent and dispose of the compliant of the petitioner dated 04.04.2024 in accordance with law.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 and perused the materials available on record.
3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 04.04.2024 submitted by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and the third respondent and after giving an opportunity of hearing to them pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
