Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider the petitioner online application dated 29.08.2024 in application No.2024/0105/35/501319 seeking sub-division of his property situated at Perukkaranai Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpattu District in Survey No.211A/7B admeasuring to an extent of 12 cents and to issue patta in her name for the same.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to consider his on-line application dated 29.08.2024 seeking sub-division and issue of patta in respect of the property situated in survey No. 211A/7B, Perukkaranai Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpattu District.

2. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondent, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that she purchased the above mentioned property under sale deed dated 19.12.1985 and she has been in possession and enjoyment of the same. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an on-line application on 29.08.2024 seeking sub-division of the property and issuance of patta in her name and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent would submit that the on-line application of the petitioner would be considered on its own merits and appropriate orders will be passed.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the respondent to consider the on-line application of the petitioner dated 29.08.2024 and pass final orders, after issuing notice to all interested parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
