respondent vide the Inspector of Police, E1, Mylapore Police Station, Chennai City Police and quash the same as void, illegal, unconstitutional and consequently direct respondents 1 to 7 herein to accord and grant permission to the petitioner organisation namely Raja Raja Senai Trust to perform SADAYA VIZHA JAYANTHI in honour of the GREAT HINDU TAMIL EMPEROR SIVAPADASEKARA-RAJA RAJA CHOLAN on 13.11.2022 Sunday Evening after 6 p.m. around Lord Shiva Kabaleeswarar Temple at Mylapore, Chennai or the Alternative Date and Venue as suggested by the petitioner in the preset Affidavit.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records made in Na.Ka NIL dated NIL received by petitioner on 01.11.2022 on the file of the first respondent vide the Inspector of Police, E1, Mylapore Police Station, Chennai City Police and quash the same as void, illegal, unconstitutional and consequently direct respondents 1 to 7 herein to accord and grant permission to the petitioner organisation namely Raja Raja Senai Trust to perform SADAYA VIZHA JAYANTHI in honour of the GREAT HINDU TAMIL EMPEROR SIVAPADASEKARA-RAJA RAJA CHOLAN on 13.11.2022 Sunday Evening after 6 p.m. around Lord Shiva Kabaleeswarar Temple at Mylapore, Chennai or the Alternative Date and Venue

as suggested by the petitioner in the preset Affidavit. 2.

Heard, the learned counsel appearing on either side. 3.

It is seen that the date (i.e. 13.11.2022) on which the Sadaya Vizha Jayanthi was proposed to be performed, now expired and as such, the petitioner while pending this writ petition, submitted another representation dated 09.03.2023 to perform the same on a future date. As such, nothing survives in this writ petition for adjudication. 4.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
