This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the online application submitted by the petitioner on 25.05.2025 wherein the petitioners 1 and 2 have sought for the adoption of one of the child of the respondents 3 and 4 under the provisions of Juvenile Justice Act and the rules/regulations therein.

2. Heard Mr.R.Prabakar, learned counsel for petitioner, Mr.R.Durgarani, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for 2/4

first respondent and Mr.E.Vedabagath Singh, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 2 to 4.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 2 to 4 submitted that on 23.08.2025 an enquiry was held with both the parents by the Child Welfare Committee and the report will be forwarded to the second respondent. The second respondent will act upon the same and orders will be passed, which will thereafter be uploaded in the portal.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court and the submissions made by learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 2 to 4, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to take a decision as expeditiously as possible.
