ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by G.JAYACHANDRAN, J.) The petitioner herein, aggrieved by the dismissal of his application before the Central Administrative Tribunal, Madras Bench, Chennai, for the reason that he does not possess the required qualification as per the SRO of the Department, has preferred the present writ petition stating that he could be considered for the post of 'Fitter Electronics'. 2.Mr.B.Ramaratnam, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the first respondent, has submitted that Diploma in Engineering without possessing NCTVT Certificate in Electronic Mechanic or Radar Fitter, cannot be accepted as qualification for direct recruitment. Furthermore, among the candidates who had participated in the selection process, this petitioner has not secured the marks falling within the zone of consideration.

3.After considering the materials placed before this Court and also the impugned order, this Court finds that there is no illegality or error in rejecting the candidature of the petitioner by the first respondent and the impugned order passed by the Tribunal. Hence this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
