The petitioners herein seek a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation dated 08.12.2017 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in favour of the fourth respondent in respect of the property situated in S.Nos.243/15, 245/4B and 246 at Vandalur Village, Chengalpattu District.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that the above mentioned property originally belonged to the first petitioner's husband and the second petitioner's father Thulasi Naicker and the patta stood in his name. Later the patta was erroneously transferred in favour of the fourth respondent and hence, the petitioners submitted a representation before the first respondent on 08.12.2017 seeking cancellation of the patta issued in favour of the fourth respondent and restoration of the patta in the name of Thulasi Naicker and the same has not been considered. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court. 2/5

3. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioners is of the year 2017. If the petitioners give a fresh representation, the same will be considered by the first respondent in accordance with law, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, they are directed to submit a fresh representation before the first respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If any such representation is filed, the first respondent shall consider the same and pass final order, on its own merits, within a further period of six weeks thereafter, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner and the fourth respondent.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
