ORDER

On behalf of the Tamil Nadu Retired Government Employees Association (Reg.No.111/2002), Mr.S.Duraikannu, the General Secretary, has come to this Court seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and pass suitable orders on the representation presented on 6.6.2015 by the petitioner association requesting the respondent to sanction increased pension at 50% of Grade Pay instead of 40% of basic pension to the State Government pensioners and 30% to the family pensioners who retired prior to 1.1.2006, as extended to the Central Government pensioners by the Central Government. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

3. This Court, considering the fact that the matter is pending for quite a long time, without going to the merits, hereby directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 6.6.2015 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
