These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners seeking a writ of mandamus against the General Manager of District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Ltd., and the General Manager of Dharmapuri District Co-operative Milk Producers' Union Ltd., Krishnagiri for absorption. As no writ will lie against the co-operative society, in the light of the ratio laid down by the larger Bench of this Court in K.Marappan v. Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Namakkal District, 2006 (4) CTC 689, these writ petitions are dismissed. However, it is open to the petitioners to work out their remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
