ORDER

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed praying to suspend the sentence imposed on the petitioner / appellant by the learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandram, Chennai made in SC.No.93 of 2022 dated 20.02.2025 pending disposal of the above criminal appeal and enlarge the petitioner on bail.

The petitioner, who is the sole accused in SC.No.93 of 2022, was convicted and sentenced by the learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethimandram, Chennai, vide judgment dated 20.02.2025, as follows: Rank of the accused Conviction under Section Sentence awarded Sole accused Section 304 Part II of IPC to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 years and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default to undergo rigorous imprisonment for three months 3.

Heard, the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent. 2/4

On perusal of records, this Court finds no reasons to suspend the sentence. Further, the petitioner committed very serious and heinous offence against his own mother and killed her. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.
