Mr.K.B.Arul, learned Additional Central Government Standing counsel who accepts notice for the respondent has no objection to this Court acceding to the request of the petitioner for a mandamus directing the respondent to consider his representation dated 14.09.2023 and issue passport, if entitled in law.

2. The petitioner has made a representation on 14.09.2023 seeking issuance of a passport on his earlier application in File No.MA4075448489323, filed on 08.06.2023.

3. In light of the statement made by the learned counsel for the respondent as recorded in the first paragraph of this order, mandamus is issued to the sole respondent to consider the petitioner's application, seek clarifications, if any, that may be required from the petitioner and pass necessary orders on the application on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
