ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.Naveen Kumar Murthi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would make a fresh application to the Commissioner, Land Administration, Chennai, for exchange of land. The learned counsel relies upon the Government order in GO Ms.No.201, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Land Disposal Wing, LD3(1) Section, dated 10.05.2022.

3. It is for the Government to consider the request of the petitioner on its own merits and as may be permissible under law. If such an application is made, the authority may take a decision adhering to the provisions of law and the executive instructions if

any.

4. The writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, WMP No.34463 of 2023 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.)
