ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction against the first to fourth respondents, to take action against the fifth respondent and remove the fifth respondent as President of Mettupatti Village Panchayat in Salem District. The petitioner had given a representation on 04.03.2024.

2. The matter came up for consideration on 29.11.2024. Notice had been served on the fifth respondent counsel. It is contended on

behalf of the first to fourth respondents that the Government is in the process of issuing notification with respect to the elections to be conducted in the Village Panchayat.

3. In view of the fact that the term of the fifth respondent would expire naturally by efflux of time, no further orders are required. Hence, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. No order as to costs. 06.01.2025 vsg Index: Yes/No Internet: Yes/No Speaking / Non Speaking Order To 1.
