ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.I.Abrar Md. Abdullah, learned counsel for the petitioners; Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3; and, Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for the fourth respondent.

2. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the purpose of the writ petition now does not survive. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that scheme applications have been filed and are pending since 2022. The same have not been decided and are adjourned time and again.

3. Considering the fact that the purpose of the writ petition now does not survive, no further orders are necessary to be passed in the present writ petition.

4. The scheme applications filed by the respective parties before the HR & CE Department for framing of a scheme be decided by the authority on its own merits and in accordance with law and also by adhering to the principles of natural justice, expeditiously, if possible, within one year from today.

5. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. W.M.P.No.29756 of 2022 filed by the petitioners to permit them to file a single writ petition stands

allowed and disposed of, inasmuch as the petitioners have paid separate sets of court-fee.

In view of the disposal of the writ petition, W.M.P.No.31019 of 2022 filed by the applicant/Sri Karivaradharaja Perumal Samaya Samooga Nala Arakkattalai to implead them as party respondent is closed.
