ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to CCB and CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, to dispose off the CC.No.3567 of 2020 .

2. After completion of the investigation on the complaint given by the petitioner/defacto complainant against her husband/2 nd respondent in Crime No.15 of 2017, the Sub Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch, EDF-II., Vepery Chennai, filed final report before the CCB and CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore and the same has been taken on file as CC No.3567 of 2020.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the Trial Court is simply adjourning the matter under one pretext or another. Now, chief examination of PW2 has been partly completed, and the case is at the stage of continuation of chief examination of PW.2.

4. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents and perused the entire materials available on record. 2/4

5. On perusal of the records, it is seen that the case is of the year 2020. At present, the case is still at the stage of continuation of chief examination of PW2.

6. Since the case has been pending from the year 2020, this court directs the learned CCB & CBCID Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.3567 of 2020, pending on his file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible.

7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
