By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to issue free house site patta in his favour in respect of the property with an extent of 0.03 cents comprised in Re-Survey No.711/3 situated at Pudhu Vilankulam Village, Vijayamanagaram Post, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District, by considering his representation dated 10.09.2024.

It is the case of the petitioner that he has been in possession and enjoyment of the above mentioned property for more than 35 years and on the strength of his long possession, he submitted a representation before the respondents on 10.09.2024 seeking issue of free house site patta and the same has not been considered by the respondents till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader, who is taking notice for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has not produced any acknowledgement card for having submitted the said representation.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the 2nd respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If any such representation is made by the petitioner within the time stipulated, the same shall be considered by the 2nd respondent and final orders shall be passed on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.
6. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
