O R D E R

This Civil Revision Petition is filed seeking a direction to the Court below to dispose of O.S.No.199 of 2022 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Having regard to limited prayer made in this revision, this Court is inclined to dispose of Civil Revision Petition even without notice to respondent.

3. The petitioner herein who is the plaintiff filed a suit for recovery of possession and also for recovery of arrears of rent against the respondent. According to the petitioner, respondent/tenant has been in arrears of rent from the year 2008. The petitioner sought for recovery of Rs.12,83,000/- towards rental arrears for the period relevant to October 2008 to January 2022.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner requests this Court to issue a direction to the Court below to dispose of the suit in expeditious manner by taking into consideration the respondents is occupying the property without paying any amount.

5. A perusal of the E.Court entry would suggest that service of summons in the suit was completed on 22.06.2022 and from then onwards the suit has been adjourned from time to time for filing written statement. Taking into consideration the suit is for recovery of possession and also arrears of rent from the respondent/tenant and also averments found in the plaint that respondent/tenant has

been in arrears of rent from October 2008 onwards, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the Court below to dispose of the suit as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of one (1) year from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Accordingly, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs. 02.12.2022 Index: Yes/ No Speaking Order / Non-Speaking Order jai To The District Court, Chengalpattu.
