Kallakurichi District.
2.
Though the first respondent has been categorized as the District Collector, Villupuram, it is only appropriate that the District Collector, Kallakurichi examines the issues raised in the writ petition since it relates to Tirukoilur Panchayat Union, which falls under the Kallakurichi District jurisdiction. 3.
In the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, it had been stated by the petitioner that she hails from Scheduled Tribe - Community / Hindu Irular and had studied upto 8th standard. The petitioner had applied for the said post and had also appeared for the interview. There were also other candidates. It is stated that the appointment order had not been issued for this particular Noon Meal Centre.
5.
On the side of the respondents, it is contended that the 2/4
post is still vacant.
6.
It is only appropriate that the somebody is given employment as it would only be to the benefit of atleast that particular person who could be of assistance to the society. 7.
A direction is therefore given to the second respondent / The Commissioner, Tirukoilur Panchayat Union at Kallakurichi District to examine the applications received and if the application of the petitioner is not found, issue notice to the petitioner and call the petitioner to give an application and examine all other applications and test the eligibility and suitability of the candidates and appoint any one person as Assistant Cook (Noon Meal Scheme). The fact that the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Tribe / Hindu Irular which has requisite qualifications for the said post, may also be kept in mind by the second respondent.
