This Writ Petition is filed, forbearing the respondents from giving electricity service connection through the lamp post erected in front of the petitioner's residence situated at 3/45, Cuddalore Main Road, Near Balamandir School, Salem - 636 014 based on the petitioner's representation dated 16.09.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

3. The petitioner herein has objected providing service connection to his neighbout by drawing electrical cable from the lamp post which is situated adjacent to the petitioner's property.

4. According to the petitioner if the respondents draw line from the lamp post adjacent to his property, it will disturb his peaceful business. Hence, he has given an objection to the second respondent on 25.02.2019 that if cables are drawn from the lamp post across the road, it will cause hindrance to him.

5. The objection raised by the petitioner has no legs to stand the petitioner cannot object drawing cable from the electrical pole erected by the second respondent in the public road. It is the discretion of the TANGEDCO to consider the technical feasibility to draw electrical cable to provide power supply to its customer.
