O R D E R
The petitioner seeks for Mandamus directing the respondent to appoint her as Village Librarian based on her representation dated 08.11.2017.
2. Heard both sides.
3. The petitioner claims that she is working as a Part-time Village Librarian. It is stated that similarly situated persons were appointed as full time librarian in pursuant to an order passed by the 1st respondent Government in G.O.(1D).No.305, School Education Department, dated 26.07.2016. It is the grievance of the petitioner that though such benefit was given to similarly situated persons numbering 13, the petitioner's name is unfortunately left out in the said G.O. Therefore, she seeks the same benefit as has been given to those 13 persons through the said G.O. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner has made a said representation dated 08.11.2017.
4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the 2nd respondent to consider the said representation and pass orders on the same by taking note of the G.O.(1D).No.305, School Education Department, dated 26.07.2016. If similarly situated persons are given the benefit of such appointment, the petitioner's case can also be considered in the light of those appointments.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.11.2018 in the light of the above said G.O. Such exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
