O R D E R

Alleging that the respondent in Crl.O.P.No.18914 of 2025 and Crl.M.P.No.12721 of 2025 furnished false and misleading information to this Court by stating on 08.07.2025 that a charge sheet had been filed in Crime No.39 of 2025 before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Puducherry on 19.04.2025, the present Contempt Petition has been filed.

2. This Court, by order dated 27.02.2026, called for the entire records. On perusal of the records, it was noticed that the Court seal was dated 09.02.2026, whereas the charge sheet was stated to have been filed on 19.04.2025. The learned Public Prosecutor (Puducherry), based on instructions received from the Department, submitted that the charge sheet had been filed on 19.04.2025, and the same was recorded by this Court.

3. Though the petitioner had filed a copy application before the Court, the same was returned stating that no charge sheet had been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate. However, a perusal of the records shows that the charge sheet has subsequently been taken on file as C.C.No.220 of 2026 and the matter has been listed for further hearing on 2/4

16.03.2026. It is also seen that summons have been served on the petitioner.

4. In light of the subsequent developments and the fact that the charge sheet has now been taken on file as C.C.No.220 of 2026 and the matter is pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Puducherry, this Court is not inclined to proceed further with the present Contempt Petition.
