O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner and his family from the anti-social elements, pursuant to the representations given by the petitioner dated 05.06.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondents 3 and 4 and two others gave a life-threat to the petitioner and his family members while using the pathway and is in enjoyment of the property. Hence, the petitioner gave representations to the respondents 1 and 2 on 05.06.2024 and 18.06.2024 to provide 2/5

adequate police protection to his life and to the family members. Since the respondents had not taken any steps, the present petition has been filed.

4. However, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 3 and 4 is purely civil in nature. 5.

In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work-out his remedy before the competent Civil Court.
