Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Section 226 of the Constitution of India for issue of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to settle the retirement benefits viz., Provident fund, Service Gratuity, Leave salary and Commutation of pension amount etc., with interest at the rate of not less than 12 % per annum payable from the date of retirement within the time that may be stipulated by this Court, in the light of Judgement dated 12.06.2015 made in W.A. (MD) Nos.383 to 457 of 2015.

The Writ Petition is filed for the following relief: "directing the respondents to settle the retirement benefits viz., Provident fund, Service Gratuity, Leave salary and Commutation of pension amount etc., with interest at the rate of not less than 12 % per annum payable from the date of retirement within the time that 2/6
may be stipulated by this Court, in the light of Judgement dated 12.06.2015 made in W.A. (MD) Nos.383 to 457 of 2015".
2. The petitioner having retired from service as an Assistant Engineer in the respondent corporation on 31.07.2024 has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent to settle all the retirement benefits payable to him, as prayed for in the petition.
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Transport Corporation would submit that since there has been a direction issued by the Division Bench of this Court in WA.(MD)No.383 to 457 of 2015 dated 12.06.2015 directing the corporation to disburse all the retirement benefits with 6% interest per annum, a similar direction may be issued in this writ petition also.

Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent and taking note of the Judgement passed by the Division Bench directs the respondent to settle the entire retirement benefits due and payable to the petitioner with interest at 6% p.a., within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
