O R D E R

With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition seeking for issuance of mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta to the petitioner's agricultural lands comprised in Survey No.53/1 measuring about Ac.0.14cents, Survey No.53/12 measuring about Ac.0.15cents, Survey No.53/13 measuring about Ac.0.15cents, Survey No.53/14 measuring about Ac.0.31cents, Survey No.53/15 measuring about Ac.0.16 and Survey No.53/16 measuring about Acre 0.19 cents in Perungulathur Village, Tiruvannamalai District.

3.The petitioner submits that the agricultural lands in Perungalathur Village, Tiruvannamalai District originally belong to the petitioner's husband K.Kasi who acquired it by way of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

acquisition. The petitioner's husband settled the said lands in favour of the petitioner by way of registered settlement deed in Document No.6572 of 2013 dated 02.12.2013, SRO, Joint-II, Tiruvanthipuram. Thereafter, the petitioner was in possession and enjoyment of the said property without any hindrance. 4.The petitioner submits that she finds it difficult to pay the revenue taxes in the name of her husband. The petitioner sent a representation dated 12.02.2016 to the respondent to transfer patta in her favour, the same was received in the office of the respondent on 15.02.2016, but till date no action has been initiated on the representation of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition. 5.Heard the submissions of learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, this Court directs the respondent to consider the claim of the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to the necessary parties, if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion with regard to the merits of the claim of the petitioner.

7.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
